Quickstart: Eudora 4.0 Email

Before you begin, please make sure you have the following:

• Your Aikorn username/login
• Your password

1. Click the "Tools" menu, then select "Options...". In the Options window, to the left under "Category:", click "Getting Started". If you are using a Macintosh, you'll have to click on the "Special" menu, and then select "Settings", and then click "Getting Started".

2. Fill in the boxes in the Options / Settings window as per the below:

• Real Name: The name you want to appear on your outgoing email
• Return Address: your Aikorn email address
• Mail Server (Incoming): mail.aikorn.com
• Login Name: your Aikorn username/login (omit @aikorn.com)
• SMTP Server (Outgoing): mail.aikorn.com

3. Click on the "Incoming Mail" icon. Select:

• "Server Configuration": POP3
• "Leave Mail on Server" should be unchecked.
• "Authentication style": Passwords

Aikorn requires all clients use SMTP Authentication to send email through our mail servers. Please follow our SMTP Auth how-to to enable SMTP Auth for Eudora.
