Quickstart: Mac OSX Email

Before you begin, please make sure you have the following:

• Your Aikorn username/login
• Your password

1. Double-click the Mail icon in your Dock (it's the icon with a postage stamp and eagle).
2. Click the Mail menu, and select Preferences
3. Click the Create Account button.
4. Click the Account Information tab.
5. Click Account Type menu and choose "POP Account"
6. Enter your Aikorn email address in the Description field.
7. Enter your Aikorn email address in the Email Address field.
8. Enter your full name in the Full Name field.
9. In the Host Name field, enter mail.aikorn.com.
10. Enter your username in the User Name field. Omit "@aikorn.com".
11. Enter your email password in the Password field.
12. In the SMTP Host field, enter mail.aikorn.com.
13. Check "Use authentication when sending mail"
14. Re-enter your username and password in the SMTP Username and SMTP Password fields
15. Click on the Account Options tab
16. "Enable this Account" should be checked
17. "Include this account when checking for new mail" should be checked
18. "Delete messages on server after downloading" should be checked.
19. Click "OK".
20. Finished!
